Problem
I am able to use wireless connection on my laptop (by using Windows 7 and Atheros network adapter) and I want to connect it on my guest operating system (running Fedora 13 and running VMware version: 6.5.0).
Solution
To get network access on your virtual machine, you can make a bridge with your host's network adapter.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the Network Connections dialog by typing "ncpa.cpl" in the program search box at the bottom of your Start menu or task bar.
- Select both the wireless and local loop networks that are currently shown.
- Right click on them and select "bridge." This will create a bridge between them, creating an interface type called Bridge below either NIC card in it - create this for each NIC card you have used to connect to networks
